Williams to Deliver Keynote Address at Claflin University Fall 2025 (carolinapanorama.com) — A longtime South Carolina banker who moved to Cheraw as a child will receive an honorary doctorate alongside civil rights photographer Cecil J. Williams at Claflin University’s Fall 2025 commencement on Friday. Williams, famed for documenting South Carolina’s Civil Rights Movement, will deliver the keynote address as the university confers more than 170 degrees and honors notable alumni.
