Boo at the Zoo Returns in October

Foam party? Check. Candy? Check. Costumes? Check. Lions, giraffes and penguins? Check, check, check!

Boo at the Zoo, a Halloween-themed outing for kids and adults, will be hosted at Riverbanks Zoo Oct. 19-30. 

Tickets, on sale here, are $6 for members, $8 for general public. 

For 12 nights, Riverbanks Zoo will host festivities and a trick-or-treat trail through the zoo. 

There will also be a foam room for kids to play in, a "mysterious maze," magic show, and a nightly costume party and dance floor. 

For an additional charge, you can roast marshmellows, go on a haunted carousel, ride the railroad or climb the climbing wall. 

Boo at the Zoo will be nightly from 6 to 9 p.m. Costumes are encouraged, but note that adults will not be admitted while wearing a mask that covers their face. 

Trick-or-treating is only for kids under 12.
