Broad River Road Improvements Top Transportation Penny List

A widening and improved intersection on the St. Andrews roadway is on the list of projects to be completed if the tax is passed.

The transportation penny has a tarnished track record in Richland County after a failing to pass in November 2010. But now, it’s back and those in favor are pushing to educate voters on where the money will go.

Online, and through a series of classes on the proposed tax, Richland officials have named off the list of projects planned for completion.

Broad River Road improvements span throughout the four areas of development--bike paths, roadways, green ways and public transit--along with other projects in the St. Andrews area.
