'Dine Out' Thursday to Help Save Lives
Twelve Columbia-area restaurants and stores have partnered with the S.C. HIV/AIDS Council to raise funds for HIV/AIDS prevention.

Take the family and friends out for breakfast, lunch or dinner Thursday to help raise money for a good cause all while enjoying a great meal.
The second annual Dining Out for Life fundraiser will be held Thursday at 11 Columbia-area restuarants.
The nationwide event is held to raise money for AIDS service organizations.

In Columbia, participating restaurants and a women's clothing store will donate a portion of their sales to the S.C. HIV/AIDS Council to fund HIV/AIDS prevention programs and outreach, and medical care services.
Dr. Bambi Gaddist, executive director of the S.C. HIV/AIDS Council, said the much-needed funds will help with several services including the organization's mobile testing unit and outreach programs for youth.
