Missing Girl Possibly Spotted in SC, Texted Accused Kidnapper Every Night

The AMBER Alert for Abigale Lafevers is still active. She texted with her alleged kidnapper every night before her disappearance.

The 12-year-old who was allegedly abducted by a convicted sex offender in North Carolina was possibly spotted in Horry County, according to a Facebook post from a group dedicated to finding her.

Timothy Newman allegedly took Abigale Lefevers after texting her every night, WITN reports. Newman has been charged with child abduction.

Newman was convicted of "sexual offense with certain victims" in 2004, according to the North Carolina Sex Offener Registry.

The Facebook page also stated that Lafevers' mother died last year and her grandmother died Tuesday morning.
