Richland 1 Celebrates Walk to School Day

Be extra safe as you hit the roads this morning.

Adults will carefully watch students as they walk and bike to school to promote pedestrian safety on National Walk to School Day on Wednesday.

Brockman Elementary School students will meet in the parking lot of Forest Lake Travel Agency at 6:45 a.m. to walk to school with teachers.

More than 400 Rosewood Elementary School students will meet at the Publix Shopping Center and be in a parade as they walk to school.

Burton-Pack Elementary School students and parents will meet at the old Virginia Pack Elementary School to begin walking and biking at 7:15 a.m.

Southeast Middle School students will walk around the school for one mile throughout the day.

Columbia High School students are asked to walk to school on Wednesday.
