Speak Out: Who Should Feed Columbia's Homeless?

For three years, Ebenezer Lutheran Church has fed the homeless in downtown Columbia.

But on Sunday the church served its last dinners to about 150 people after an agreement between the Salvation Army and the church ended.

Columbia City Council was considering continuing the program at the city's winter shelter but the discussion was postponed to their next meeting on April 9, according to a report from The State.

The discussion of who should feed the homeless and where they should be fed has raised concerns for those living in area and sparked debate between city leaders, those providing meals and local residents.
