Behavioral Health Throwing Pre-Prom Party
Party aims to help prom-goers prepare for the prom while delivering prevention message to teens and their parents.

An upcoming event aims at helping Pickens County teens prepare for prom while making sure they stay safe on Prom Night.
Behavioral Health Services of Pickens County is throwing a Pre-Prom Party. The party is free for Pickens County high schoolers to attend.
It will be held 8pm – 11pm Friday, April 12 at the Pickens YMCA.

Prevention Specialist Tiffany Ashemore said students and parents will participate in activities aimed at educating them on the dangers of drinking and driving and providing alcohol to minors.
“We want parents to realize the dangers and consequences of allowing teens to drink at after-prom parties,” Ashemore said.

During the pre-prom party, students will visit with local vendors who cater to prom goers, and will have the chance to win prom night gifts at our raffle station sponsored by local Pickens County merchants. To make this evening a success, BHSPC need help from the business community.
Behavioral Health Services Prevention Department will accept donations ranging from gift certificates, prizes, or refreshments. If you would like to set up a display or provide agency information, they welcome that as well.
