• Easley man charged with stealing motorcycle, trafficking meth (wspa.com) — An Easley resident has been charged after deputies say he tried to steal a Harley-Davidson motorcycle near Seneca and was later found with about 14 grams of methamphetamine. Investigators say the seller pursued him, a confrontation followed, and shots were fired before the suspect was arrested and hospitalized. Authorities say the seller will not face charges, while the Easley man faces grand larceny and drug trafficking counts.

• Pickens County man in court for threats to Jewish community (wspa.com) — Local readers should know Easley Police worked with the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office and the FBI after a Pickens County man allegedly posted violent threats online toward the Jewish community and a gym. The suspect remains in custody after a Greenville federal court appearance, where a mental health evaluation was ordered. Authorities stress that credible online threats will be taken seriously and prosecuted.
