Clemson Picks Up A Win Against USC

Easley's Joey Pankake hitless but scores a run.

After a three-day series, Clemson hands USC their first loss in 19 straight games.

The Tigers were trailing the Gamecocks, 4-0, in the bottom of the second inning, according to Gamecocks Online.

The Tigers tied the game in the eighth inning on a two-run home run by Phil Pohl, making it 5-5. Steve Wilkerson with a walk-off RBI single in the ninth gave the Tigers their first win over the Gamecocks, 6-5.

Easley's Joey Pankake scored on home run by Grayson Greiner. With three times at the plate, Pankake was walked in the second inning, struck out in the fifth and grounded out to short stop in the eighth.

The Gamecocks had won Friday's game 3-2 in 11 innings in Charleston and Saturday's contest 9-6 in Columbia.
