Easley Soldier Honored at Memorial Dedication

Soldiers with the 133^rd Military Police Company of the S.C. National Guard dedicated a memorial Friday at the Timmonsville Armory to honor three fellow soldiers who were killed in Afghanistan June 20, 2012.

Easley's Sgt. 1st Class Matthew Bradford Thomas, 30, along with 1^st Lt. Ryan Davis Rawl, 30, of Lexington, and Spc. John David Meador II, 36, of Columbia were killed in Khowst City, Khowst Province, Afghanistan when their patrol was attacked by a suicide bomber. Five other soldiers also were wounded in the incident.
