The second day of an annual fundraiser for the Pickens County Cancer Association begins today. Pig Pickin' for the PCCA starts at 11am in Old Market Square. BBQ teams will be competing in this competition, which is an official SC Barbecue Association event. A $10 bracelet purchase gets you all the barbecue you want. You'll also have a chance to vote for your favorite.
Head on over to the Pickens County Airport for the 4th Annual Wings and Wheels for Meals benefit for Pickens County Meals on Wheels. The event, held from 10am – 3pm today, offers a classic and custom car show, giveaways, plane and helicopter rides giving you a birds-eye view of Pickens County.

Before you start your spring cleaning, upgrade your broom! Stop by the Easley Walmart today and buy a new broom from the Easley Lions Club. Proceeds from the Lions Club's broom sales help the club's mission of sight conservation for local people.
Then head over to Tri-County Technical College's “Bluegrass Under the Stars” concert. Enjoy entertainment provided by area students in the Young Appalachian Musicians program before the concert begins at 6pm.
The concert line up is Most Wanted Bluegrass; Kevin Richardson and Cuttin' Edge; and West End String Band and headliners Lou Reid and Carolina. The concert will conclude with fireworks.
