Former School Superintendent Takes Job in Greenville
Dr. Henry Hunt has joined the district as Interim Assistant Superintendent for Middle School Leadership for Greenville County Schools
Greenville County Schools has appointed new leaders for the district.
Leroy Hamilton, former Assistant Superintendent for Middle School Leadership, has been named Interim Deputy Superintendent.

Hamilton will be responsible for duties as the Director of Administrative Services with the pending retirement of Joe Broadus, who also serves as Director of Alternative Education. He has served as principal of several high schools and in various district positions.
“Mr. Hamilton possesses a depth of knowledge in all the various aspects of district leadership, administration and operations,” said Superintendent Burke Royster. “I am appreciative of his willingness to assume these new responsibilities.”

Dr. Henry Hunt, former superintendent of the School District of Pickens County, has joined the district as Interim Assistant Superintendent for Middle School Leadership. Hunt served as a principal and in various administrative positions in Pickens County.
“Dr. Hunt brings many years of successful school and district leadership to our school system,” Royster said. “I have known Dr. Hunt for many years and have great respect for him as an educator and as a person. I appreciate him agreeing to serve for the remainder of the school year.”
Stuart Holcombe will serve as Interim Director of Alternative Education. He previously served as Coordinator of the High School Alternative Program and the Bonds Middle School Alternative Program.
