Pankake Struggling Defensively, But Tanner Plans to Keep Him As A Starter
USC makes eight errors in three games

USC's defense was a little shaky over the weekend. In a three game series against Clemson, the team committed eight fielding errors.
GamecockCentral.com reported on Monday that nearly half of the mistakes were by Easley's Joey Pankake, during the Gamecocks 9-6 victory over the Tigers on Saturday.
In his first 10 games as a Gamecock, Pankake has committed six errors for a .838 fielding percentage, according to the article.

USC Coach Ray Tanner told the website he had no intention of pulling Pankake from the lineup, saying, "he'll play through it."
The Gamecocks had won Friday's game 3-2 in 11 innings in Charleston and Saturday's contest 9-6 in Columbia.
