Pickens County 4-H Mud Run Cancelled

Mud run that had been slated for Saturday cancelled, but there's lots going with the Pickens County 4-H.

The Pickens County 4-H Mud Run has been cancelled, according to Clemson Extension officials. 

The Mud Run had been slated for Saturday at the B.J. Skelton Career Center. 

Even though the mud run has been eighty-sixed, the Pickens County 4-H has a lot going on right now, according to 4-H officials.

Pickens County 4-H will partner with Anderson County 4-H for a Spring Fair on April 29-May 5 from 4-8pm daily with longer hours on the weekend.

Events at this time include a rabbit show, dog obedience display, hog show, home ec-night, healthy lifestyles night, and more. More information will be available soon.

Interested volunteers should contact the Pickens County Clemson Extension office at 878-1394.  

There will be a Horseless Horse Camp at Clemson that will include riding, crafts, a knowledge based activity and more. For new riders it will be held June 24-28, 2013 and returning riders camp will be held July 22-26, 2013. The cost is $200 /week and time is 8:30am - 12:30pm.

Participants will be required to wear long pants and boots, helments can be provided by Clemson University Equine Center. Water/Snacks will be provided.

There are only a few spots left for 4-H Summer Camp June 17-21 at Camp Long in Aiken, SC.  Ages 9-14 welcome. Current reduced price of $250 includes a week of swimming, crafts, campfires, sports and much, much more.
