Red Cross Raising Money to Help Storm Victims in North Carolina

Fundraising efforts began on Friday to help victims in Cherokee, N.C.

The American Red Cross Western Carolinas Region began fundraising efforts to assist victims of tornadic activity in Cherokee, N.C.

Residents, businesses or organizations who wish to make a financial donation to the Red Cross to help the victims of these disasters can logon to REDCROSS.ORG, call 1-800-REDCROSS, text RED CROSS to 90999 for a $10 donation, or bring a contribution by any of the Red Cross offices in the Western Carolinas.

At this time, the Red Cross is unsure if straight-line winds or a tornado impacted the area in Cherokee, N.C.
