"Ride for the Child" is May 4
Event offers participants a scenic ride while benefitting The Parenting Place

The Parenting Place is gearing up for one of its biggest fundraisers.
“Ride for the Child” is set for Saturday, May 4.
The scenic ride takes riders through Highway 11 and ends in Liberty at the Liberty Spring Festival and Cruz-In.

The ride begins at the Bi-Lo in Pickens.
Pre-registration is underway now. Riders who pre-register will pay $25 for the ride.

On the day of the ride, registration is $30. Registration will be held 9-11am Saturday, May 4.
The Parenting Place, home of Prevent Child Abuse Pickens County, has been serving the community for more than 20 years. Their mission is to prevent all forms of neglect and child abuse in the Upstate, by building relationships and offering services and support to parents in order to create healthy families free of abuse and neglect.
The Parenting Place offers intensive home visitation services, family life skills, financial literacy and baby basic/toddler trend classes, support groups including parenting education, workforce development skills classes, connecting people to education and employment, Benefit Bank services and counseling for victims of domestic violence.
The Parenting Place’s Women in Need of Guidance and Support (WINGS) program provides one-on-one home visits to support women in building healthy relationships, parenting effectively, building life skills and gaining independence.
