Taxi Driver Arrested on Drug Charges
Pickens County Sheriff's Office said the driver was charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana

The Pickens County Sheriff’s Office has charged a taxi cab driver with possession with intent to distribute marijuana. Â
Cedric Terrell Young, 30, of Greenville was arrested on Feb. 4, after deputies said they observed the cab he was driving traveling down Highway 8 near Trotter Road drift across the centerline of the roadway. The deputy checked the license plate displayed on the cab, but no information was available for that particular plate number.
After stopping Young and providing a warning for the traffic violation, the deputy obtained consent to search the taxi, deputies said. During the course of the search, 13 baggies of packaged marijuana were located in a bag next to the driver’s seat. These items were seized, Young was placed under arrest and the taxi company was notified to take possession of the taxi cab.Â
