These benefiting organizations include Feed a Hungry Child – Pickens County, Helping Hands Children's Shelter, Pickens County Meals on Wheels, Prevent Child Abuse – Pickens County, and Pickens Senior Center.
Thanks to the success of the 13th Annual BMW Charity Pro-Am presented by SYNNEX Corporation, The Reserve at Lake Keowee Charitable Foundation has received a gift of $21,000 as a benefiting charity partner. At a check presentation ceremony held in August, tournament officials announced that the 2013 event raised $731,152, to be divided among 20 local charitable organizations. In May, The Reserve at Lake Keowee served as a host course for the event, which has raised $9.98 million for 150+ upstate charities since it began in 2001.
The Reserve at Lake Keowee Charitable Foundation will pay the Pro-Am gift forward, by distributing the funds this December to five local charitable organizations that have been designated to receive funding from the Foundation in 2013. These benefiting organizations include Feed a Hungry Child – Pickens County, Helping Hands Children’s Shelter, Pickens County Meals on Wheels, Prevent Child Abuse – Pickens County, and Pickens Senior Center. The sizeable Pro-Am contribution has enabled The Reserve at Lake Keowee Charitable Foundation to expand its annual gift from four to five charities this year. Each of the five organizations will receive an equal cut of the total funds raised by The Reserve at Lake Keowee Charitable Foundation in 2013, the primary sources for which come from the BMW Charity Pro-Am presented by SYNNEX and the annual Reserve at Lake Keowee Charity Golf Tournament held in October.
As one of the 20 beneficiaries of the proceeds from the 2013 BMW Charity Pro-Am presented by SYNNEX, The Reserve at Lake Keowee Charitable Foundation organized 120 members of The Reserve at Lake Keowee community to serve as volunteers to help execute the tournament. Those volunteers logged more than 297 work days for the event.

In regards to the volunteer’s experience of the event, Dick Bishop, the BMW Pro-Am co-chair for the Reserve stated, "In addition to having a good time working at the BMW tournament, the volunteers who selected The Reserve Foundation as their designated charity enabled the Foundation to receive over $20,000 from the tournament. We had close to 175 volunteers who devoted well over 1,000 hours, so that the 5 charities The Foundation chose in Pickens County will benefit directly. "
