Volunteers Needed for Annual Spring Fling

Hosted by the Easley Downtown Business Association, the event is in need of people to help with set-up, check-in, parking, and to operate games in the children's area.

The Ninth Annual Spring Fling Festival hosted by the Easley Downtown Business Association is set for March 24.

Volunteers are needed to help with set-up, check-in, parking, games in the children's area and tear-down after the event.

Vendors will line the streets of downtown along Main Street and Pendleton Street. Items for sale will include original handmade arts and crafts and food.

City Councilman Dave Watson said during Monday's council meeting that the event would feature more exhibitors than ever before.

An interactive children's area feature free games and art-related activities will be available from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Entertainment will begin at 10 a.m. The Gazebo will host acoustic musicians all day, while the Main Stage in Market Square will feature dance performances, Olympic-style fencing, Zumba and rock and soul band, Fat Cat Daddy.
