• A bus full of bounty for those in need (thedanielislandnews.com) — A brightly painted mobile farmers market called Nell regularly brings affordable fresh food to several Charleston-area neighborhoods, including Folly Beach, using a sliding-scale model that supports low-income shoppers. Operated by Lowcountry Street Grocery, the bus partners with hundreds of local farms and artisans, and is currently fundraising to keep SNAP-eligible families connected to healthy groceries after a federal setback.
