Assaults have dominated crime in Berkeley County for the first half of the month, according to RaidsOnline.com, which compiles data submitted by Berkeley County Sheriff's Office.

Percentages of crimes reported for the first half of July include:
- Assaults - 22 percent
- All other noncriminal - 16 percent
- Shoplifting - 14 percent
- All other criminal - 12 percent
- Theft - 10 percent
