• Police say man contributed to fatal North Charleston collision (postandcourier.com) — A woman driving eastbound from Goose Creek toward North Charleston died after swerving to avoid road debris and colliding with an 18-wheeler near Rivers Avenue and N.A.D. Road. Police later charged a pickup driver, accused of spilling unsecured scrap metal, with involuntary manslaughter in connection with the crash.
   

• Police release details on Accabee Road shooting that left one injured (abcnews4.com) — A North Charleston shooting investigation now includes details from witnesses who say they were driving back from a Goose Creek job site when a passenger in their truck was struck by gunfire. The group flagged down an officer on Accabee Road, and the victim was taken by EMS as police continue to search for whoever fired the shot.
