Committee will develop long- and short-term goals in attracting businesses.

Goose Creek City Council has developed a three-council member committee in an economic development effort aimed at attracting and retaining businesses in the city.

"The idea is to create a three-person committee engaged in economic development and the process would be to develop ideas, short and long term plans and goals," councilman Franklin Moore said.

Moore joins council members Kimo Esarey and Mark Phillips on the committee.
