Deputies: SUV Pulled in front of Trooper in Collision
Berkeley County Sheriff's Office says trooper not at fault for Friday wreck in Sangaree, following a truck v. motorcycle wreck.
Berkeley County deputies say a S.C. Highway Patrol trooper en route to a wreck in the Sangaree area of 17-A was not at fault when an SUV allegedly pulled in front of him.Â
The wreck involving the trooper happened at around 7:15 a.m. Friday near Highway 176.
The trooper was headed to a wreck between a truck and a motorcycle at Old Summerville Road.Â

Berkeley County Sheriff's Office released this statement:
The initial investigation reveals that the trooper did have blue lights and siren activated when the Cruiser struck a Jeep SUV. All indications are that traffic was yielding for the marked cruiser when the SUV pulled onto the highway in front the trooper's marked cruiser.
Both the trooper and the female driver of the Jeep SUV were transported to local hospitals. The patrolman has since been released. No word on the other driver at this time.  Â
The incident remains under investigation by the Berkeley County Sheriff's Office.
