Firefighter Fundraiser Benefits Two S.C. Firefighters

A fundraiser for two S.C. firefighters will be held noon-5 p.m. Saturday outside of the old Blockbuster at 205 St. James Ave.

All proceeds will benefit firefighters Jordan Eaddy of Colleton and Hampton counties, and Darin Kingery of North Charleston. According to Live 5 News, Eaddy is undergoing treatment for Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma Cell B cancer.

Kingery was injured in June as he was working in North Charleston. His injuries — caused by a suspected drunk driver — caused his right leg to be amputated below the knee.

SConFire.com reported Saturday's event will feature a huge sidewalk sale with games and movies, 20 craft vendors, kids activities, balloon artists, pie throwing contests and more.
