Man Found Electrocuted Near Transformer in Cainhoy

Authorities found the body of 29-year-old Zachary Jones of Salters, SC near a transformer in Cainhoy Sunday mroning, according to a statement from the Berkeley County Coroner's Office.

Jones' body had been electrocuted and was found in a pit around a transformer at a power substation in the Cainhoy area. The death was ruled accidental, according to the statement.

A fence around the substation had been cut. A crew of Berkeley Co-Op employees found Jones' body while checking the substation during a power outage Sunday around 10:45 a.m.
