Goose Creek Police are investigating the events surrounding a 6-month-old child suffering a skull fracture in the care of a babysitter.Â
On June 14, the child was at the babysitter's Goose Creek residence where he likely fell from an elevated position onto a hard surface, according to a doctor cited in the incident report.
At around 3 p.m., the child's mother picked him up. During bath time, she noticed the swelling on the child's head that was soft to the touch, and took him to get treatment.Â
The case is still under investigation and no charges have been filed as of Thursday afternoon. The child was discharged from the hospital over the weekend.Â
