2 Stores Closing at Lexington's Old Mill

Lisa's Country Corner and Cathleen's Daughter are both closing at the end of April.

Two stores in Lexington's Old Mill are closing at the end of April. 

Lisa's Country Corner, a home-made candle and gift store, is shutting its doors on April 30.

Cathleen's Daughter, an antique store, is going out of business on April 27.

Lisa Overocker, who opened Lisa's Country Corner in March 2012, said she'll still sell her candles on her website at lisascandlecorner.com. After the store closes, she hopes to make it easier for customers to order her candles online. 

In the meantime, everything in the store is 50 percent off. Store hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.

Cathleen's Daughter is also having a 50-percent-off sale. 

Owner Sheila Fraga said she wasn't getting enough customers at her store, which also opened in the spring of 2012. 

The Old Mill recently lost another tenant, . 

"When the cafe closed downstairs, that really killed a lot of the traffic," Fraga said.

Store hours at Cathleen's Daughter are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
