Cook-Out Plans for Restaurant in Lexington

Plans for the fast-food chain to build a new restaurant in Lexington have been submitted to the town's planning department.

Cook-Out, a fast-food chain based in North Carolina, may be coming to West Main Street in Lexington.

The company submitted plans to the Town of Lexington to build a restaurant on a piece of property in the 500 block of West Main Street, where an old Taco Bell building sits. The planning department has not approved the plans yet because they are waiting on additional paperwork to be submitted.

A sold sign went up in recent weeks at the property, which sits between the former Blockbuster and the Lexington County government annex building. It has been empty for about two years since Taco Bell moved to its new location down the street.
