Gaston Man Killed Walking on Highway 321

Julius Presley, 56, of Gaston was stuck by a vehicle traveling north when he was walking north in the middle of the road on Highway 321.

The Lexington County Cororner's Office has identified a pedestrian who was struck and killed while walking illegally on Highway 321 Friday night. 

Julius Presley, 56, of Gaston was stuck by a vehicle around 8:20 p.m. when he was walking north in the middle of the road in the 3700 block of Highway 321 in Gaston, Coroner Harry O. Harman said.

Presley was pronounced dead at the scene from severe head and body trauma, Harman said.

Troopers with the S.C. Highway Patrol said Friday that no charges were expected to be filed in this case. 

The accident is being investigated by the Lexington County Coroner’s Office and the Highway Patrol.
