The West Metro Chamber is asking residents for donations for local charities.

The West Metro Chamber of Commerce is asking Midlands residents to do some spring cleaning for charity.Â
Six local charities are looking for gently-used or new items. The chamber is holding an event Friday where residents can drop off those items.Â
The event benefits Lexington Interfaith Community Services (LICS), Harvest Hope Food Bank, the Dickerson Center for Children, The Chris Myers' Children's Place, the Cayce Public Safety Foundation and the Babcock Center.
