Great Lexington Cleanup, Lawnmower Exchange Set for Saturday
Lexington residents can help clean up the town and get an electric lawnmower at two town events Saturday.

It's time for some spring cleaning.
Lexington’s Seventh Annual Lexington Cleanup on is slated for Saturday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., starting at the Lexington Municipal Complex.
In partnership with Keep the Midlands Beautiful and Advanced Disposal, the Great Lexington Cleanup challenges schools, neighborhoods, civic organizations and other groups to restore and beautify areas in their communities.

Last year, more than 80 Lexington residents picked up more than 800 pounds of trash.

Also on Saturday, Lexington residents can trade in their old gas-powered lawnmowers for a voucher to purchase a new electric one during the "Green in Clean" Lawnmower Exchange Program.Â
The event takes place from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the parking lot at the Old Lexington Courthouse.
