Lexington One Students Named Scholarship Finalists
Seven students were named National Merit Scholarship finalists.
The National Merit Scholarship Corporation named seven Lexington One students as 2013 scholarship finalists.
Lexington High student Madeline Johnson was named a 2013 National Achievement Scholarship Finalist after advancing through two rounds based on her PSAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test scores. She is now one of 1,300 finalists who compete for National Achievement and corporate-sponsored scholarships.
The National Merit Scholarship Corporation also named Lexington High students Benjamin Bartlett, Carsten Bryant, Justin Garrison, Allan Zhao; Pelion High student Ashton Nicewonger; and White Knoll High student Jordan Gunn, as National Merit Scholarship Finalists.

In the fall, the students advanced to the semifinalist round based on their scores on the qualifying test. As finalists, they compete for National Merit Scholarships based on their abilities, skills and accomplishments.
