Sheriff: Lexington Man Embezzled $27,000 from Company
Detectives say the man deposited company checks to a private bank account between over a period of four months.

A Lexington man is charged with embezzling more than $27,000 from a company where he worked as vice president, according to the Lexington County Sheriff's Department.
Jerry Lee Cliborne, 44, of Merion Drive was arrested Wednesday and charged with breach of trust.Â
On six occasions between November 2012 and March 2013, Cliborne deposited company checks to a private bank account that he controlled, according to arrest warrants. The total came to $27,477.Â

Cliborned set up the bank account using a business name similar to a vendor his company frequently used, detectives say.Â
Cliborne was booked at the Lexington County Detention Center Wednesday. A bond hearing is scheduled for Thursday morning.Â
