Town Wants Public Input on Main Street Plaza, Amphitheater
Residents are invited to share their ideas at public input sessions this month.
Lexington residents can share their ideas for a plaza and amphitheater planned for Lexington's Main Street.Â
The town is hosting a series of public input design workshops for the new development, dubbed Project Icehouse.
The property where the new plaza will be located includes the former Shirey's on Main (101 West Main Street), the adjacent building (103 and 105 West Main Street), Palmetto Propane and Ice (111 South Church Street), and 113 South Church Street.Â

Town leaders hope to attract retailers to the area and have plans to build an amphitheater and a walking trail through the downtown area.Â

The workshops will be held at the following days at times at the Lexington Municipal Complex Conference Center:
Tuesday, April 16:Â 9 a.m. and 6 p.m.Â
Wednesday, April 24: 9 a.m., 12 p.m. and 6 p.m
