Bedingfield and Smith Named 'Taxpayer Heroes'

Last week the South Carolina Club for Growth named a group of South Carolina legislators as "taxpayer heroes." The Club for Growth based its selections on 38 pro-growth and government reform votes taken since January 2011. Among those named were local representatives Eric Bedingfield (R-28) and Garry Smith (R-27).

"I am grateful for the opportunity to serve the people of District 28 and the State of South Carolina, they entrust me to be responsible with their money and I do not take that responsibility lightly," Bedingfield told Patch.

Smith is as part of a delegation visiting the Prime Minister and the Knesset.
