Shining Stars is a tutoring service like no other. Teachers are certified teachers in their fields. We tutor pre k all the way into college. We also are trained to work with kids with all disabilities. Kids with autism, ADD,ADHD, oppositional defiant disorder, dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalcula and Down’s syndrome. We also offer social skills classes and life skills classes for teens and adults with disabilities.

Monday was the deadline for candidates to file papers to declare their candidacy for Mauldin City office and according to the city's Election Commission, the following will be running in the fall. Mayor - Don Godbey and Dennis Raines. Godbey is the incumbent. Seat 2 of the City Council - Incumbent Bob Cook is running unopposed. Seat 4 of the City Council - Incumbent James Kennedy is being challenged by Scott Crosby. Seat 6 of the City Council - Incumbent Michael Reynolds is being challenged by Larry Goodson and Nantambu Calhoun. Candidates for office in Mauldin are not required to list a party affiliation.
