
Patch has confirmed that Peter Nomikos, the former head of building and zoning for the , has stepped down.
City Administrator Trey Eubanks said that Nomikos tendered his resignation last week.
"We thank him for his nine years of service to the City of Mauldin and wish him well with his future endeavors," Eubanks said.

Some sources speculated that Nomikos' departure was a result of a conflict with the new city leadersip that was . Eubanks could not elaborate any further on Nomikos, as it is a personnel matter. Nomikos could not be reached for comment.
Eubanks did say that the city plans to advertise for the position next week and that city residents will see no noticeable change in the level of service while Nomikos' former position is vacant.
