City Removes Trash Fee From 2012-2013 Budget
Controversial fee will not be imposed in next budget

Mauldin residents will not have to pay a fee to have their trash removed during the next fiscal year. Though the budgeting process for 2012-2013 is still in the planning stages, last night the voted unanimously to remove the $45 fee.
The fee was one of the which saw all the incumbents be ousted from their seats.
Also on Monday, the city unanimously approved using $300,000 in funds to match the $300,000 provided by the Greenville Legislative Delegation Transportation Committee to improve many of Mauldin’s streets.

According to City Administrator Trey Eubanks, the streets will be completed in order of priority. A list of those streets is available . Eubanks said as many streets will be worked on as the funding allows. “We’ll work on them until the funds run out,” he said.
The council also agreed to amend the schedule for budget planning. The new schedule can be viewed on Page 31 of the attached pdf.
