UPDATE: Attempted Murder 'Cold Case' Suspect Arrested

UPDATE, Fri., April 12, 5 p.m.: Just a day after putting out a call for the public's assistance, the Greenville County Sheriff's Office said late Friday afternoon that deputies have arrested 43-year-old Ray Everette Dupree, who had been wanted on charges of attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime stemming from a shooting last year.
Dupree was in the Greenville County Detention Center Friday evening awaiting a bond hearing.

The GCSO is seeking the public's assistance in locating 43-year-old Ray Everette Dupree, whose last listed address was 300 Durham Dr. in Greenville. Dupree has active warrants for attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
On December 18, 2012 the GCSO received a call at Highland Square Apartments located at 200 Pine Creek Court Extension regarding gunshots. The incident location is off Mauldin Road, about five miles from the Mauldin city limits in Greenville. Deputies arrived on scene and found that one person had been shot in the leg.
Investigators alleged Dupree "did with a total disregard for human life" fire a handgun multiple times trying to shoot and kill the victim.
Investigators ask anyone who may have information regarding the location of Dupree to call Crime Stoppers at 23-CRIME.
