Deputies on the Lookout for Carjacker

GCSO seeking man who attempted a carjacking at the Woodruff Road Walmart.

The Greenville County Sheriff's Office is seeking the public's help identifying and locating a man who recently attempted a carjacking.

On March 17 at around 8 p.m. an unknown white male subject approached a 73-year-old man in the parking lot of Walmart located at 1451 Woodruff Road. The subject attempted to remove the man from his vehicle by force. The victim was able to get the subject out of his vehicle and the subject fled the area on foot, deputies said.

The victim reported he received a small scratch during the scuffle incident which did not require medical treatment. 

The subject has been described as a white male approximately 50 to 60 years old, 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 11 inches tall, and weighing 160 to 180 pounds. 

Investigators ask anyone who may have information regarding this incident or who may possibly recognize this subject to call Crime Stoppers at 23-CRIME.
