Weather forecasters are predicting that the Upstate will begin to feel the effects of Tropical Storm Lee this evening. After slamming the Gulf Coast earlier this weekend, Lee is charting a path to our area. Heavy rains are expected to begin in the evening hours and continue through Monday and into Tuesday. Rainfall totals could exceed two inches. As a result, a flash food watch has been issued by the National Weather Service through Wednesday morning. High winds will accompany the rain and the possibility of a tornado in flatter areas cannot be ruled out.
