Update: Young Couple Killed in "Domestic Incident;" Baby Left Behind
Man and woman shot to death Wednesday night in a home west of Mauldin are identified. Baby found unharmed in the home.

Update: The couple killed in a Wednesday night domestic dispute have been identified by Greenville County Coroner Barry Wright as Mary Guthrie, 18, and Erith Carrillo, 19. Authorities believe the young couple were fighting. Both were shot in the head in an apparent murder-suicide, Wright said.
Wright also said a eight-month-old baby was in the home at the time of the shootings, but was not harmed.
The baby girl has been placed in the care of family members, GCSO spokesman Deputy Jonathan Smith told Patch.

Original story: A man and a woman were found shot to death Wednesday night in what Greenville County Sheriff's Office investigators believe was a domestic dispute.
On Wednesday at approximately 11:30 p.m., the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office received a disturbance call from 6 Gilbert Court, located about four miles west of Mauldin. Deputies arrived on the scene minutes later and met with the caller who stated she found a man and woman inside the residence with gunshot wounds, Deputy Jonathan Smith said.
Deputies checked the residence and located a man and woman inside the home with gunshot wounds. The unidentified male was pronounced dead at the scene. The unidentified woman, Smith said, was transported by EMS to Greenville Memorial Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
"Investigators with the Sheriff’s Office Violent Crimes Unit responded to the scene and through the course of the investigation have been provided information that this is a domestic incident," Smith said. "At this time this is an active death investigation and investigators and forensics personnel are processing the scene."
Investigators ask anyone who may have information regarding this incident to call Crime Stoppers at 23-CRIME.
