Shining Stars is a tutoring service like no other. Teachers are certified teachers in their fields. We tutor pre k all the way into college. We also are trained to work with kids with all disabilities. Kids with autism, ADD,ADHD, oppositional defiant disorder, dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalcula and Down’s syndrome. We also offer social skills classes and life skills classes for teens and adults with disabilities.

Just in the past six months, Don Godbey has handed out two to two . On Tuesday, Godbey received one of his own. At the conclusion of yesterday's council and committee meetings, an emotional council member Gabe Hunter presented Godbey with the key to the city. Hunter also presented Godbey with a plaque as he did for fellow council members Michael Reynolds and James Kennedy. Godbey, Reynolds and Kennedy lost their in November and Tuesday was their last meeting as elected officials for the City of Mauldin. A recap of Tuesday's meeting is coming later today.
