Special Ed Department Welcomes Marsha Miller and Willie Stewart!

Marsha Miller comes to MHS with experience as a HS and Charter school principal, special ed teacher (preschool, middle, high), college instructor at Furman University and Miami of Ohio and most recently District Special Ed Coordinator. Marsha has moved 15 times in 38 years of marriage. She has 5.5 grandchildren (#6 is due in December). Mrs. Miller is a rabid collector of pigs and cartoon books (400+).

Willie Stewart is a MHS alum and former athlete. He graduated from Carson-Newman College. Willie is the head coach for the girls lacrosse team and an assistant coach for the varsity football team. Willie is married and has an 8 month old baby girl.

Girls Basketball Conditioning

Girls Basketball conditioning will start Monday Oct. 3rd from 4-4:30 p.m. for any girls interested in playing JV or Varsity basketball

Members of Youth in Government

Youth in Government members are reminded of the following;
1. Second payment is due Wednesday, October 5
2. There is a full club meeting Thursday, October 6 at 7:45 a.m. in the auditorium
3. Legislators who submitted their rough drafts - see Coach Snoad
4. Legislators who did not submit their rough drafts turn that in to Coach Snoad ASAP.

Club International Officers Meeting - Tuesday, October 4

We will have an officers' meeting on Tuesday, October 4, at 5:00 p.m. at the Bavarian Pretzel Factory.

French Honor Society Meeting - Thursday, October 6

There will be a French Honor Society meeting on Thursday, October 6, at 8:15.a.m. in Mrs. Noralee Robert's room. 

Club International Meeting - Monday, October 10          

There will be a Club International meeting after school on Monday, October 10, to prepare for the arrival of our German sister school students.

Marching Mavs Place 4th at Boiling Springs Festival of Bands

The MHS marching band earned 4th place out of 32 bands at the Boiling Springs Festival of Bands.  The Color Guard was 2nd of the day, and Visual Effect was also 2nd of the day.
