From the opening kickoff to the final gun, the the game was a back-and-forth contest that featured plenty of the mistakes one would expect in a season-opener. The Mauldin offense continued to show its explosiveness, while on the defensive side of the ball the Mavericks showed the type of resiliency the unit will need as it learns a new scheme.
