The economy took a hit on Thursday when the stock market had its single biggest fall since 2008. But then on Friday, the national job report was not as bleak as experts had predicted, when 117,000 jobs were added. However, that wasn’t enough to lower the unemployment rate from 9.2 percent.
Locally, the job news was better.
