Local Food Banks Need Your Help

Here's where to donate in Mauldin and the surrounding Golden Strip.

Local food banks could use the community's help with donations. Here's where you can donate food and other needed items at food banks and pantries in Mauldin and the surrounding area:

Kingdom Life Christian Center Food Pantry, 200 E. Butler Road, Mauldin, is open 9-11 a.m. the third Saturday. The pantry distributes boxes of quality meats, vegetables and fresh fruits with health tips and recipes. It requires a picture ID for the adult household member.

The operations center and warehouse for God’s Pantry is at 800 S.E. Main St. Simpsonville. Call 864-963-4441 or 864-963-4649. God’s Pantry distributes food at the following locations:

  • Joy Center at Messiah Lutheran Church, 1100 Log Shoals Road, Mauldin, 8:45-11:45 a.m. Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.
  • First Presbyterian Church, 510 E. Curtis St., Simpsonville, 10 a.m.-noon and 4-5 p.m. Tuesdays, and 6-8 p.m. Thursdays.
  • Old Pilgrim Baptist Church, 3540 Woodruff Road, Simpsonville, 5-6:30 p.m. Wednesdays and 9 a.m.-noon Thursdays.

The House of Second Blessings food pantry is open from 9-11:30 a.m. the first and third Mondays of each month. The pantry serves those in need in the Fountain Inn and Laurens areas. It is at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, 1279 S. Frontage Road. Call 864-862-2165, Ext. 10.
