Mauldin Egg Drop Rescheduled for Tuesday Evening

A helicopter will drop 50,000 goodie-filled eggs for children tonight at Mauldin's Sunset Park.

After being rained out this past weekend, the Mauldin Egg Drop is scheduled to take place this evening at Sunset Park.

More than 50,000 eggs will be dropped from a helicopter onto the fields at the park, located at 211 Fowler Circle. The eggs, donated by area churches and businesses, will be filled with goodies such as candy and toys, as well as coupons for treats from area restaurants, said Mauldin assistant recreation director Bart Cumalander, lead organizer of the second-annual event.
